St. Mary's Church and Bräustüberl in Aldersbach Monastery

Take a trip to what is arguably Bavaria’s most beautiful Marian church at Aldersbach Abbey, followed by a stop at the Aldersbach Brewery’s Bräustüberl.

Join our tour guide Lothar on a trip to the famous Asam Church in Aldersbach. After five years of renovation, the church shines in new splendor and is now open to the public again. Discover the highlights of this unique building on a guided tour of the monastery church.

Afterward, head to the Aldersbach Brewery’s Bräustüberl for a freshly tapped Maß; even today, the beer there is still brewed primarily according to the old recipes of the former Cistercian monks.

On the way home, you’ll make a short detour to the Künstlerhof in Kirchberg near Bad Birnbach. In the exhibition barn, over 45 artists and artisans showcase their works, which can be purchased on-site. A café in a wood-fired vaulted room invites you to linger and relax.
