Guided tour sheep wool factory Ried

A preserved factory building in the Frauns district of Ried, containing hydro-powered machinery.

Let yourself be transported back to a bygone era and learn how valuable products are handcrafted from the wool of regional Tyrolean mountain sheep using water-powered machinery that is up to 100 years old.

In the gift shop, you can purchase knitting yarn, felting wool, handmade knitted sheep’s wool socks, gloves, figurines, rug seat cushions, schnapps and liqueurs, and much more.
