About the artist:
Roswitha Scheffold (née Hohl, b. 1968), who grew up in the Allgäu region near Leutkirch, was primarily interested in drawing and sculpting during her youth. During her teaching work at museums and schools, she led numerous painting and sculpting projects with students. This inspired her to pick up a paintbrush herself. Since 2013, she has been creating medium- and large-format oil paintings with representational motifs. The expansion of her repertoire to include watercolor and mixed media is particularly evident in her small-format abstract works. Since 2020, Roswitha Scheffold has been teaching geography and ethics at a secondary school and a high school in Ottobeuren.
