Between the Amazon and Antarctica (Part 1)

"This lecture reports on a journey of almost six months, which could hardly be more diverse. My colleague Marcel and I are on the road in South America by motorcycle, in addition I go mountaineering and dive into the depths of the Amazon rainforest away from any civilization.

So we drive through deserts and impressive regions of the Altiplano up to 5,000 meters above sea level, have pleasant and dangerous contacts with the country and its people. This is followed by an unforgettable adventure on the Patagonian Ice Sheet, I experience archaic wildlife on the Falkland Islands and we finally reach Antarctica by sailing ship. What a grandiose ice world we have now arrived in!"
