Direktionsvilla 1880
Experience royal flair and relaxing nature - just a few minutes away from the Direktionsvilla 1880.
Gravenstein Castle (Gråsten Slot) is one of the most beautiful excursion destinations on the Flensburg Fjord and is only around 20 minutes away from the Direktionsvilla 1880. Originally built in the 16th century as a hunting lodge, it is now the summer residence of the Danish royal family.
Visitors have access to the extensive English-style castle park, which is one of the most beautiful gardens in the region. Well-kept paths, old trees and views of the water make the walk a particularly peaceful nature experience. The historic castle church, which has survived several fires, can also be visited.
A particular highlight is the summer: when the royal family is on site, with a bit of luck you can watch the changing of the guard - an authentic insight into Denmark's living monarchy.
The experience can be ideally combined with a walk around the lake district or a trip to the charming town of Gråsten.
