Beer experience world Starkenberg Castle

In the 700 year old Starkenberg Castle (20 km / 20 min) visitors are introduced to the secrets of the art of brewing beer. The tour leads into the deep vaults, cellars as well as corridors of the castle and shows the history of beer brewing from its beginnings to the present day. The 200-year-old brewery is the only brewery in Austria that still produces the popular barley juice without chemical additives. You can even bathe in the Starkenberg beer: The world's first beer swimming pool is located in the brewery's old fermentation cellar. The castle also includes an idyllic park with a 19th century chapel. To crown the day, you can enjoy a good meal and of course an excellent, chilled beer in the cosy "Schloss Stub'n".
