The Missing Mayor

A court hearing is taking place in Oppenheim am Rhein. The tavern owner insists on payment for the past few months’ bills. The debtor is none other than the mayor! But he has been missing for weeks—without a trace! And in general, it seems that something is amiss in this tranquil wine-growing village. The district court judge, who has traveled all the way from Munich, is supposed to shed light on the matter and restore order—but within the first few minutes of the hearing, he finds himself in danger of getting entangled in a web of lies, nepotism, and ominous real estate deals....
