A Magical Moment by the Mountain Lake – Oberseitsee in the Defereggental Valley

This guided ranger hike to the idyllic Oberseitsee takes you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and right into the heart of the national park. You’ll discover the colorful variety of alpine flowers along the trail and explore different vegetation zones, from the mountain forest to the rugged high mountains. On this impressive mountain lake hike, the landscape becomes more alpine and breathtaking with every step.

Once you arrive at Oberseitsee, a quiet, rugged high-mountain world opens up with breathtaking views, and you’ll have time to take a deep breath and enjoy the moment—pure relaxation, including interesting facts from the National Park rangers.

You’ll need:

✔ Sturdy hiking boots with good traction

✔ Outdoor clothing (including rain and sun protection)

✔ Backpack with snacks and drinks

There are no places to stop for refreshments!
