Plätzwiese is one of the most beautiful high plateaus of South Tyrol and lies in the middle of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park. From the Plätzwiese hut you hike - always sunny and level - along the old military road from the 1st World War to the Dürrenstein hut, where you will find a small open-air museum on the nature parks of South Tyrol. This hike above the forest line is characterized by the stunning panorama of the imposing Dolomite peaks and the old fortification ruins from the 1st World War.

In summer , the alp invites you to go hiking, Nordic walking and biking.

In winter you can discover the high plateau in different ways, whether with touring skis, snowshoes or just walking through the snowy nature. A special pleasure in winter offers the perfectly prepared cross-country skiing high altitude trail!
