Trip to the "Dreiflüssestadt Passau" (three-river city)

Join our tour guide Lothar on a visit to the “Venice of the Danube”—the “floating city” nestled among the three rivers: the Danube, the Inn, and the Ilz. Passau’s unique location evokes memories of the lagoon city. You can already sense the spirit of the South in the cityscape, with its Italian-style architecture and picturesque alleys. After devastating fires in the 17th century, only Italian master builders were commissioned to rebuild the city. Artists such as Giovanni Battista Carlone and Carlo Lurago created a new Passau in the grand Baroque style.
