Summit Hike to the Sarlkofel (2,378 m)

Today we’re in for an exciting, challenging, yet rewarding mountain hike. It requires sure-footedness and a head for heights. The scenically stunning ascent leads over two sections secured with ropes

After this rather challenging climb, you’ll reach the elegant summit cross of the Sarlkofel, next to which a sweeping panorama unfolds: The view stretches from the Sesto Dolomites, over the neighboring Dürrenstein, and other notable Dolomite peaks such as the Lavarella or the Peitlerkofel, all the way to the

Rieserferner Group.

At our feet, meanwhile, lie the Puster Valley with Niederdorf and Toblach, and the Höhlenstein Valley.

The return from the Sarlkofel follows the same route as the ascent.

Walking time: approx. 4,5 hours

approx. 1.000 metres in altitude
