Matt (Kevin James) has been saving for years to have the perfect wedding and honeymoon in Italy. But on the big day, his fiancée (Julie Ann Emery) leaves him standing at the altar. To keep from coming to a complete standstill, he sets off on the long-planned trip alone: an impromptu journey through alleys, squares, and cafés. Along the way, he meets the vivacious Italian Gia (Nicole Grimaudo), who, with her spontaneous ideas and honest conversations, opens his eyes to a new perspective on plans, promises, and second chances. Step by step, Matt learns to leave room for the unexpected, without knowing where it will lead.
