Our recommendation: Marlinger Waalweg

This Waalweg is with 12 km the longest in South Tyrol and rumored also the most beautiful.

It begins at the Töll bridge and runs fairly level along the water channel through well-paved terrain, past apple meadows and vineyards. Chestnut trees and shady forests abound, as do refreshment stops. Passing the Leben Berg Castle in Tscherms, you hike along this path to Lana. The panoramic view is impressive with views of the Merano valley basin as well as the imposing Texel group. The total walking time is about 3 hours and the bus connections in Lana are very good.
