This varied tour showcases several highlights of the Dahn Rock Region. From Erfweiler, the trail first leads up to the Hahnfels, a scenic overlook offering sweeping views across the Wasgau. The trail continues past the bizarre Schafstein rocks to the Kahlenberg viewpoint—where an impressive view of the Alt-Dahn castle massif opens up.
The hike then follows the mountain ridge to the Wasgaublick, offering views of Schindhard, Dahn-Reichenbach, and all the way to the Drachenfels castle ruins. Another highlight is the imposing castle complex featuring Alt-Dahn, Grafendahn, and Tanstein—one of the largest castle complexes in the Palatinate.
On the way back, the idyllic Eibach Spring and the Erfweiler Waterfall offer special moments in nature before the trail leads back through Langenthal to Erfweiler.
