The Witte Venn is a cross-border nature reserve with extensive moor and heath landscape. It is perfect for a hiking or cycling tour. What is special here? Proud 50 Scottish Highland cattlethat roam free in the nature reserve and occasionally block the bike and hiking paths and lie comfortably on the edge! Not only do they look fantastically beautiful in this lush green landscape, but they also provide useful services by acting as roaming lawnmowers.
The Haarmühle country inn is a good place to start. Here you can stop for breakfast, coffee & cake or dinner (closed on Tuesdays).
