Details

4 riding days / 3 overnight stays / arrival on Thursday

The mountain and valley trail leads through the most impressive landscapes of the Chiemgau Alps. On varied routes, we ride over high moors, through nature reserves and along clear mountain lakes. Trotting and cantering sections invite you to ride at a brisk pace. Spectacular views, rustic mountain pastures with regional specialties and refreshing bathing opportunities make this trail an intensive nature and riding experience for experienced riders in good physical condition.

Highlights & special features:

- Challenging riding tour with 400-800 meters of elevation gain per day

- Varied landscape: Moors, lakes, waterfalls, mountain ranges

- Rustic alpine pastures with snacks, Kaiserschmarrn and regional cuisine

- Swimming opportunities in rivers and mountain lakes

- Overnight stays in inns and alpine pastures with panoramic views

1.Day:

We head along the Kendlmühlfilzen moorland and nature reserve to our first overnight camp. The mountain inn is located at the foot of the Chiemgau Alps.

Day 2:

We ride upstream across one of the last raised bogs in Bavaria. On the way, we admire a large waterfall. We ride up to an altitude of around 1150 m above sea level. At lunchtime, we stop at a very traditional mountain hut for excellent snacks and cool drinks. We then descend into the valley along a beautiful lake area to a rustic Niederkaseralm.

Day 3:

We cross the lake area and have the opportunity to go for a swim. In the afternoon, we explore the Röthelmoos area. The dairymaid awaits us there with delicious Kaiserschmarrn and homemade cakes. We spend the night on a beautiful alpine pasture with a fantastic view of the sunset and the mountains.

Day 4:

Through the Wössner mountain range, we head back downhill through beautiful alpine pastures to Lake Wössner See. The idyllic mountain lake invites you to take a break. We ride through the Achental valley and reach our starting point in the late afternoon.
