Alpine pasture ride 2-day spring & summer 2026

2 riding days / 1 overnight stay / Arrival on Saturday

We ride across blooming mountain meadows and along small waterfalls through the Chiemgau Alps, with brisk trotting and cantering routes and the opportunity to swim at a mountain lake. Our destination is the cozy Kaspressknödelalm, where we spend the night and enjoy regional specialities.

Day 1:

We ride through the Achental valley to Lake Wössner See and enjoy brisk galloping routes. On the way, we cross the Tiroler Ache river and take a lunch break at an idyllic mountain lake - with the opportunity to swim. We continue along beautiful mountain trails and small waterfalls up to the family-run Kaspressknödelalm, where we spend the evening enjoying regional specialties and spend the night.

Day 2:

After a tasty breakfast, we ride back through the Chiemgau mountains on partly the same route and enjoy the wonderful views! For refreshments, we stop off at a mountain hut or at Lake Wössner See and reflect on the varied weekend together.

Accommodation: Overnight stay in shared rooms on a traditionally managed mountain pasture

Meals: Breakfast & dinner included (drinks not included); lunch break on mountain pastures or at the lake (not included)

Riding days: 2 riding days of 5-6 hours each.

Horses & equipment: Spanish horses, Criollo mongrels; trail or western saddles; partly bitless bridles

Prerequisites: Confident in all gaits off-road, good physical condition required

Weight restriction: max. 85 kg (without clothing)

Important note: Participation will be refused if the weight stated is incorrect and the actual rider weight exceeds 85 kg. In this case, there is no entitlement to a refund of costs.
