Description
As part of European Mobility Week 2026, experience an enjoyable combination of a train ride, nature exploration, and a guided hike around Innsbruck.
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., you’ll set off from the Innsbruck Tourist Information Office and first enjoy the scenic ride on the Stubaitalbahn, which takes you up about 400 meters in elevation to the idyllic mountain village of Kreith. There, the leisurely, guided hike with a hiking guide to the Kreither Alm begins, where you can expect magnificent views, fresh mountain air, and fascinating insights into the region’s landscape and history. At the alpine pasture, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing break (at your own expense) before walking back to Kreith and then taking the Stubai Valley Railway back to Innsbruck.
The tour is free for all participants, and tickets for the Stubaitalbahn are also provided free of charge. Please bring comfortable shoes and a water bottle; the hike is rated as moderate and takes about 6 hours in total. If the tour cannot take place due to insufficient participation, bad weather, or other unforeseeable circumstances, it may be canceled by the organizer at short notice.
