Description
They are the icon of the Dolomites, the Three Peaks: the symbol of the beauty of a unique natural landscape and have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009.
Many who have seen the striking sight of the Dolomites massif up close are left with an image of mighty giants.
This challenging hike leads through the Rienztal Valley to the Dreizinnen Hut. What makes it special is that at the start, you can only see the Three Peaks in the distance, and you gradually get closer and closer to them.
The hike starts at the Drei-Zinnen-Blick viewpoint and continues through the Rienztal Valley toward what are arguably the most famous peaks in the Dolomites—the Drei-Zinnen-Hütte, from which you have a spectacular view of the Drei Zinnen. The hike is considered a challenging alternative to the trails starting from Misurina and the Talschlusshütte in Sexten.
