Description

The course, designed in collaboration with Reinhold Messner, also incorporates the surroundings of Sigmundskron Castle. The fortress, which towers over Bolzano, offers a view of the Texel Group and the Ötztal Alps, as well as the majestic Schlern. Even Bolzano, visible in the foreground, and the highway running through the mountain are included in the overall concept: they show how man lives with the mountain today.

MMM Firmian is an expansive and exciting experiential space that is walked clockwise around the central castle rock with its 10th century chapel. Since visitors are expected to explore the tour at their own pace and rhythm, no guided tours are offered.

Important information:

Fair weather excursion destination (in rainy weather with rain protection!)

Walk only with sturdy shoes

The museum tour is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Only the castle courtyard, the temporary exhibition room, the restaurant terrace and the toilet are accessible by wheelchair.

Please do not leave predefined paths

Do not walk and watch out for uneven surfaces

Backpacks and walking sticks are not allowed

Radio, music and cell phones are to be turned off

Smoking is prohibited in the whole area

Dogs are not allowed

Filming and photography is allowed only in the outdoor area
