Description

You’ll start in Alpendorf and ride along the Tauern Cycle Path to Schwarzach.

From Schwarzach, the route takes you through the “Putzengraben” and then toward Urpaß | Goldeggweng.

From there, it’s not far at all to Lake Böndl.

On the way back, you can take a detour to Lake Goldegger.

Directions:

You start in Alpendorf; once you reach the valley, take two sharp right turns toward Liechtensteinklamm. There, after about 200 meters, turn left onto the Tauern Bike Trail toward Schwarzach.

In the center of Schwarzach, pass the hospital and turn left toward Goldegg Weng.

Follow the Urpaß and, in Werfenweng, turn right toward Böndlsee.

Return route:

Either take the same route back, or in Goldegg Weng you can also turn right toward Goldegg to admire the beautiful village of Goldegg with its lake and castle.
