Yin yoga is a calm and meditative yoga practice that can bring body, mind and soul into harmony. In this class, we spend longer in gentle, passive postures, usually between 3 and 7 minutes, giving the body time to reach deeper layers of connective tissue (fascia). Through conscious breathing and mindful awareness, space can be created for letting go, regeneration and inner peace.
The class is ideal for calming down or as a counterbalance to dynamic yoga styles and sports. Each posture is taken with the support of aids such as cushions, bolsters or blocks so that the body can relax completely.
Possible effects:
- Deep stretching and mobilization of fascia and joints
- Calming of the nervous system and stress reduction
- Promotion of mindfulness and inner balance
- Harmonization of the energy flow according to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
