Friedrichskoog seal sanctuary

Location

Friedrichskoog, Deutschland

Details

www.seehundstation-friedrichskoog.de

Every so often, young seals lose their mothers in the Wadden Sea. The Friedrichskoog seal sanctuary is a reception center for abandoned or sick seals that have been found. Keepers nurse them back to health before they are released back into the wild.

You can observe the larger marine mammals through an underwater window and during a commented feeding session, and in an adventure exhibition "Seals of the World", you can learn lots of interesting facts about the wide-eyed marine mammals in a fun way.
