Details

Washed by the sea and sometimes even submerged, these undiked marsh islands lie in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea National Park.

The poet Theodor Storm once called the Halligen "floating dreams" and anyone who has ever experienced them raves about their special light and the uniqueness of their nature in the middle of the North Sea.
