Helpful facts

We take the hotel bus to the starting point of our hike into the rear Martell Valley. The road carved into the rock that winds along the Zufrittstausee reservoir is an experience in itself. The path leads us uphill across the Pedertal valley right from the start, but the view of the surrounding glacier giants is simply magnificent and the babbling brook is hard to beat in terms of idyllic scenery. Beware, depending on the weather, the path can be slippery and icy in places. Surefootedness is required. We then follow a high-level trail that winds along the slope and offers us a unique panorama of the glacier world. We return to the starting point of our hike via the Zufallhütte (currently closed).
