Quiet winter landscape meets fascinating animal tracks. On this guided winter hike, you will discover the Kristberg away from the groomed pistes. Wrapped in the winter silence, nature reveals its mysterious side - wintry forests, glistening moorland, special corn meadow landscapes and tracks of animals that defy the cold and are active. Together with the nature guide, we let our gaze wander into the Verwall, Vorarlberg's largest European nature reserve - a very special retreat and habitat. How do deer, foxes and ptarmigans survive the icy season? Which plants defy the frost? And what stories do the tracks in the snow tell us? Together, we embark on a peaceful winter hike, open our eyes to the small details and consciously experience winter nature.
The highlight of the hike is the Ganzaleita viewpoint at around 1,600 m - with an impressive view of the snow-covered Klostertal valley. A tour for all those who want to experience winter with open eyes and all their senses. The gigantic view of the Rätikon, Verwall and Silvretta peaks, coupled with the view of the Lechtal Alps, makes this winter hike on the Kristberg a very special experience. The trail leads you over an altitude difference of around 250 meters through the snow-covered winter landscape.
