Waale hike to Juval Castle

We take the hotel shuttle to Tschars. From here, we hike along the beautiful and sometimes very narrow Stabner Waalweg trail up to the Sonnenhof. From here, it's another 50 meters up to Juval Castle, which sits majestically on a hill at the entrance to the original Schnalstal Valley. Juval Castle has been the home of mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner since 1983. This is where he writes books and works on new ideas. We then return to the starting point of our tour via the Schnalser Waalweg trail.
