Our Excursion Tips of the Week 🌊
Mudflats & Nature:
Mudflat hikes in Büsum and Meldorf, salt marsh tours in Friedrichskoog, or a walk along the beach at St. Peter-Ording.
Island Excursion:
In September, boat trips to Amrum, Föhr, and Sylt are still available from Nordstrand. Heligoland is also still accessible from Büsum.
For families:
Horse show in Garding, children’s festival, mudflat hikes for families in Büsum, fairy tale theater, and the Erlebnis-Hus in St. Peter-Ording.
For food lovers:
The Dithmarschen Cabbage Days from September 22–27 feature regional specialties, markets, and events centered around Dithmarschen cabbage in several towns.

Especially on the last weekend in September, a trip to Büsum, Wesselburen, or Meldorf is well worth it—there, the Cabbage Days, markets, and North Sea experiences come together particularly beautifully.
