On Dolomites Bike Day, some of the most beautiful passes in the Dolomites are reserved exclusively for cyclists for one day. The Campolongo, Falzarego, and Valparola passes are closed to motorized traffic on this day, offering a unique riding experience in the heart of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Unlike a bike race, there’s no timing, no race numbers, and no pressure to perform—everyone rides at their own pace. Whether you’re on a road bike, gravel bike, mountain bike, or e-bike, the focus here is on enjoying nature.

Elevation gain: approx. 1,300–1,400 hm
Passes: Campolongo, Falzarego, and Valparola
Recommended direction: counterclockwise

💡 Our Tip:
The best time to start is early in Badia or La Villa, when the roads are still particularly quiet. The climb up to Falzarego offers breathtaking views, and a break at Passo Valparola is worth it just for the spectacular mountain scenery. From the Mountain Lodge Margit, you can reach the starting area in Alta Badia in about 1 to 1 hour and 15 minutes by car.
