A hiking trail with history. To protect Tyrol as part of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, trenches and trenches were once built along today's theme trail, wire entanglements were erected and caverns were cut into the rock. The latter served as accommodation for the loyal soldiers, the so-called emperor's riflemen, who were used for border defense at that time.
Course: from Nauders Fortress 2.5 kilometers long and 500 meters of steep ascent to the fortifications on the Sella heads
Characteristics: alpine terrain; narrow, steep and exposed; well secured
Suitable for: sure-footed mountain hikers with appropriate equipment and experience; not suitable for small children!
