Description
The Schönbrunn Zoo in Vienna is the oldest zoo in the world and was founded in 1752.
It is located in the park of Schönbrunn Palace and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Over 500 animal species live on around 17 hectares, including many endangered species.
The rainforest house, the polar bear enclosure and the giraffe house are particularly popular.
The zoo is heavily involved in international species conservation and has received several awards as the best zoo in Europe.
