🏙️ Here’s what awaits you:

Bruneck is a lively little town in the Puster Valley and ideal for a leisurely stroll through town, shopping, a coffee, or an aperitivo. High above the old town stands Bruneck Castle, which houses the Messner Mountain Museum Ripa. The museum is dedicated to the mountain peoples of the world and offers fascinating insights into ways of life, housing, traditions, rituals, and everyday objects from various mountain regions around the globe.

📍 Directions from Mountain Lodge Margit:

You can reach Bruneck in about 35 to 45 minutes by car.

Alternatively, take the bus to Mühlbach train station and then continue by train toward Bruneck.

💡 Our tip:

Combine a stroll through Bruneck’s old town with a visit to the MMM Ripa at Bruneck Castle. The combination of the town’s charm, views of the castle, and the museum makes Bruneck an ideal half-day trip—even when the weather is iffy.
