🏞️ Here’s what awaits you:

The Seiser Alm is the largest high-altitude alpine pasture in Europe and one of the most famous destinations in the Dolomites. Vast alpine meadows, gentle trails, and the view of the Schlern, Langkofel, and Plattkofel make it a perfect destination for families, leisure hikers, photographers, and cyclists.

📍 Directions from Mountain Lodge Margit:

You can reach the valley station of the Seiser Alm Railway in Seis am Schlern in about 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes by car.

💡 Our tip:

The most convenient way to reach the Seiser Alm is by taking the Seiser Alm Cable Car from Seis. In just about 15 minutes, you’ll arrive in Compatsch—the ideal starting point for walks, hikes, and bike tours.

ℹ️ Good to know:

Road closure for private vehicles—the road to the Seiser Alm is closed from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Driving up by car—only possible before 9:00 a.m. or after 5:00 p.m.

Parking starting in summer 2026—online reservations are required for P1 Spitzbühl and P2 Compatsch

Alternative travel options – take it easy with the Seiser Alm Railway or the Seiser Alm Express / Line 10

Parking options at the valley station – large free outdoor parking lot as well as paid parking garages
