Würzjoch & Peitlerkofel – A Pure Dolomite Panorama

The Würzjoch/Passo delle Erbe is one of the most beautiful vantage points in the Dolomites and is located at an altitude of about 2,000 meters on the edge of the Puez-Geisler Nature Park. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Sass de Pütia, the Aferer Geisler, and the surrounding Dolomite landscape.

📍 Starting point:

The starting point is the Passo delle Erbe. From the Mountain Lodge Margit, you can reach it in about 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes by car.

🥾 Hiking tips:

For families – Walk to Munt de Fornella, approx. 20 minutes, stroller-friendly, with a playground and animals at the hut

For active guests – Circular hike around the Sass de Pütia, approx. 4.5 to 5 hours

For experienced hikers – Hike including the Sass de Pütia summit, approx. 6 to 7 hours

⚠️ Good to know:

The final section to the main summit leads over a short, secured via ferrata and requires sure-footedness and a head for heights. If you’d like to avoid this section, you can choose the Piccolo Pütia as a less strenuous alternative.

Nearby options include the Ütia de Börz, the Würzjochhütte, the Ütia Cir, the Munt de Fornella, the Sot Pütia, the Göma Hut, the Vaciara Hut, and the Halsl Hut.

💡 Our tip:

The short walk to Munt de Fornella is ideal for families. More active guests can experience the Dolomites at their most impressive on the circular hike around the Peitlerkofel.
