Description
Lukas Schäfer, born in 1992, comes from St. Georgen in the Pustertal Valley. He grew up between the Dolomites and the main Alpine ridge. Even as a small child, his parents showed him the mountains. Since then, Lukas has been fascinated by nature, its landscapes, its details and its animals. He took part in competitions as a professional freeskier for several years until an injury led him to discover nature photography. It captivated him immediately. Since then, Lukas has continued to rediscover the mountains and their inhabitants with his camera. A passion developed into a profession. Some of his photographs and films have already won prizes in international competitions. With "South Tyrol, Secrets of Nature" he is publishing his first book, filled with photographs and stories from South Tyrol and its border regions.
