E-Bike & Hike to Juifen

The Juifen is located at an elevation of 1,988 meters in the Karwendel and is a special destination for a combined mountain biking and hiking tour. Once you reach the summit, a sweeping panoramic view of the entire Karwendel mountain range awaits.

On this e-bike and hike tour, we’ll cover the first part of the route—which initially runs for 8.5 km along a gravel road— to the Rotwandhütte (unmanned) at 1,528 meters above sea level, on e-bikes.

From there, we hike uphill along a trail that stretches 4 km and gains 460 meters in elevation, featuring several steep ascents. This requires good stamina, strength, and sure-footedness. We enjoy our break at the summit with the provisions we brought along and a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains.

Difficulty: Moderate (red mountain trail)

Elevation gain: approx. 1,000 (600 by e-bike and 460 on foot)

Duration: approx. 5–6 hours
