Mountain lakes: Lago di Braies & Grünwaldalm-hut

The Pragser Wildsee, the pearl of the Dolomite lakes.

I was not Terence Hill that made this lake famous, steeped in ancient local legends and lore the lake has played an important role in local folk history. It has been told that if one went out the lake by boat, it was possible to reach the subterranean realm of the Fanes. Fanes, the gateway to the underworld was at the southern end of the lake, where the imposing Seekofel towers stand today.

In these fabulous environment begins our tour. Along the lake we walk to the Grünwaldalm-hut. After a short stop at the hut, we go back to the Lake Braies where we enjoy the beautiful nature once again before returning to our Hotel Quelle.
