Fortress Altfinstermünz

The border fortress Finstermünz, or Altfinstermünz, is located at the foot of the pass of the same name directly on the Inn River.

Finster? that was once. Through careful restoration, the former border and customs station presents itself as a neat and interesting monument of the "dark" Middle Ages that leaves all visitors amazed. Open in summer, once a week in winter. Thanks to the new bike bridge barrier-free access via the bike or hiking trail.
