A short distance from the rest area at the Europabrücke bridge is the Europakapelle chapel. It is dedicated to the bridge saint Johannes Nepomuk and the patron saint of motorists, St. Christopher, and was dedicated as a memorial to the workers who died in accidents during the construction of the highway.
