The St. Beatus Caves on Lake Thun near Interlaken are one of the best-known and most popular excursion destinations in Switzerland! Explore around one kilometer of the Niederhorn massif on a well-maintained and well-lit path. Discover stalactites and stalagmites that have been formed over millions of years and immerse yourself in this unique natural world underground. Around 14 kilometers of the extensive cave system have been explored to date. Thanks to the new and innovative lighting system installed in 2019, the approximately one-kilometre-long tour through the grottos, huge stalactite formations, wide halls and gorges is even more impressive.
