Description

From Alpendorf you cycle to the "Palfnerdörfl" in St. Johann. Cycle past beautiful farms and colorful flower meadows on a moderate incline towards Rettenebenalm. After a short time you have reached "Katzlmoos" and can enjoy the wonderful view of the Salzach Valley. The route continues not too steeply for about 2 kilometers with 200 meters of altitude difference on a good forest road to your destination, the Rettenebenalm. For refreshments, there is everything from a hearty snack to the "very best Kaiserschmarrn" fresh from the farm. You can extend the tour if you wish. Voluntary donations will be made to the Red Cross St. Johann and the relief organization.

Meeting point start: every Wednesday, 09:30 am parking lot 2 of the Alpendorf gondola lift

Guide: Manfred Oberndorfer, certified mountain bike guide

Duration: approx. 2.5 hours pure riding time, with breaks approx. 3.5 hours

Difficulty/condition: normal fitness level, 22 kilometers total distance, 850 vertical meters

Riding technique: normal cycling skills required, riding on forest and freight roads is no problem for you

Equipment & clothing: E-bike, appropriate cycling clothing, protective equipment such as helmet, gloves, glasses, drinks, mobile phone

E-bike rental: see below. Rearly booking is essential, please note opening times!

Children: at least 14 years, good physical condition

Participants: max. 12 people

Costs: voluntary donations (will be donated to the Red Cross St. Johann and Hilfswerk)
