The core workout focuses on strengthening the middle of the body, which lies between the diaphragm and hips. Targeted exercises activate the straight and lateral abdominal muscles, the lower back and the hip flexor and hip extensor muscles. Training the core muscles improves stability, strength, posture and general well-being.
