Our quiet zone - the Stilluppe
The idyllic Stilluptal valley is famous for its waterfalls. Since the summer of 2022, there has been a new leisurely hiking trail off the road - the Waterfall Trail. It has its name for a reason, as romantic torrents cross the path several times. We take the hiking cab to Gasthof Wasserfall. This is located directly on the Stillupp reservoir, along which we first hike and then follow the course of the stream across picturesque alpine pastures. One of these is right next to the Stillupperhaus, where the Erwin Aschenwald bench is located. After a leisurely stop at the Grüne Wand hut, we take the hiking cab back to Mayrhofen.
Character: easy, medium-difficulty hike with 430 m elevation gain over 7 km
Duration: approx. 5.5 hours; 2.5 hours of pure walking time
Meeting point: 8.8 p.m. - Europahaus Mayrhofen
Cost contribution: adults € 15.00; children € 7.50 (free for guests of nature park partner businesses and nature park members) excl. hiking cab there and back: € 18.00 (please pay in cash)
