Description

The festival dates back to 1886 and is the most deeply rooted event in Merano’s social life.

The delicious South Tyrolean specialties, the fine wine, and the traditional music in the city center (sometimes featuring “experimental” interpretations) remain the hallmarks of the event.

The famous parade at the Merano Grape Festival will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 2:15 p.m.

- Start: Vinschgau Gate in Merano

- Duration: approx. 1½ hours, until 3:45 p.m.

- Highlights: festively decorated floats, the famous giant grape, the Marling apple crown, and over 30 marching bands and traditional groups.
