The trail starts at the mountain station of the Neunerköpfle 8-seater gondola lift in Tannheim. Depending on your speed and time spent at the stations, you should allow around 1 - 1.5 hours. If you still have enough energy, take a short detour to the summit of the Neunerköpfle: An entry in the largest summit book in the Alps awaits you there in both summer and winter.
The trail can be hiked every day, whatever the weather. The trail is also well maintained in winter.

Small walk across the reservoir to Schattwald
The small walk starts directly at the hotel and takes you first towards Vilstal - once in Vilstal, a romantic forest path leads towards the Schattwald reservoir and across the fields back towards the hotel. We will be happy to help you with any further questions. (In winter only passable with little snow or not cleared path!!!)
