Guided hike with the Schwäbischer Albverein:
TOUR DESCRIPTION
Together with hiking guide Georg Enderle, we start at Steibensteg and climb the first incline towards Lesebänkle on Gehrenberg. There we meet the premium hiking trail "Guck-ins-Land"", which we then follow for a while over the wild-romantic Muldenbach bridge to the 5-Länder-Blick with fantastic views over Lake Constance and the entire Alpine chain. From there it goes for a few kilometers in a steady climb uphill over gravelled forest roads towards the ridge of the Gehrenberg. Pass the starting point of the Gehro Trail and shortly after make a small detour to the summit hut, where the highest elevation of the Gehrenberg, the summit rock at 754 meters above sea level is also located. An absolute must. From then on, it's not far along a flat forest path until our destination, the Gehrenberg tower, is in front of us.
After about 8 km and 375 meters of altitude, we will arrive in about 2 1/2 hours.
Picnic with a view?
Bring your picnic blanket and a little something to eat and drink. Together we want to strengthen ourselves and enjoy the view over Lake Constance.
+ RETOUR:
Around 4:00 pm we will drift along a beautiful natural path towards our starting point: about 3 km in about 40 minutes.
Participation in the hike is voluntary and free of charge, it will be cancelled at most in case of continuous rain or stronger wind (because of the dangers of the forest). Parking is free of charge at the ex-inn Traube in Steibensteg.
The Swabian Albverein, local group Markdorf is very happy to be able to realize our hiking passion together with our members, guests and all other interested people on this day.
Out into the nature and at the fresh air in movement is the slogan on the ACTIVE IN THE NATURE DAY in completely Markdorf.

PARALLEL EVENTS:
"Clean up in hiking clothes": clean-up action of the hiking and field paths at the Gehrenberg. Pick up a trash collection kit at the Tourist Info during the week or hike off on your own, packed with gardening gloves and an old trash bag.
"Stadtradeln" action: register and collect kilometers for our city in the period from May 6 to 23: www.stadtradeln.de/markdorf
