Description

We start our hike on a forest path with a view of Stuhlfelden.

After a few hundred meters, we hike along a forest path past a chapel before climbing steadily uphill towards Stimmelhöhe. A strenuous but beautiful, quiet and shady path through the beautiful autumn forest leads us to our destination.

On arrival at the Stimmelhöhe, a mountain plateau, we enjoy the snack we have brought with us on the grass or on a tree trunk and admire the fantastic mountain and alpine world around us. From a vantage point, we can see from Mittersill to Bramberg and, of course, the 3,000-metre peaks of the Hohe Tauern.

Reenergized, we hike back along the same path for a while until we change to a forest road.

We then reach the Wetterkreuz via a dirt track. Here we have a wonderful viewpoint over Mittersill and the surrounding area.

We return to the starting point on the field path.
