Hike Gaisalm

Hike along the Mariensteig: Experience spectacular views right on Lake Achensee and enjoy a varied tour featuring nature, exercise, and a relaxing return trip by boat.

From the hotel, we hike to the start of the Mariensteig trail at the northern end of Lake Achensee. The narrow trail winds steadily up and down along the shore and offers impressive panoramic views of the lake—sure-footedness is required.

Halfway along the route, we reach the idyllically situated, staffed Gaisalm, where we’ll take a leisurely break. Afterward, we’ll continue by boat to the Seehof Chapel, from where we’ll take a relaxed stroll back to the hotel along the eastern shore of the lake.
