Meridian stretching, also known as meridian stretching or makko-ho, is an exercise practice that aims to harmonize and activate the flow of energy (qi or ki) in the body. Through targeted stretching exercises, the meridians, i.e. the energy pathways of the body, are stimulated to release blockages and promote the health of body and mind. The exercises are easy to perform and can be practised by people of all ages and fitness levels.
