Exploration Tour at the Foot of the Imposing Kalkkögel Mountains in Axams

Description

On this guided hike in the Axamer Lizum, experience the impressive mountain scenery below the Kalkkögel, which are known as the “North Tyrolean Dolomites” for good reason.

Every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., the tour takes you through breathtaking scenery with sweeping views of the Inn Valley and the Karwendel, as well as peaceful forests and alpine meadows that are pleasant to hike through at a leisurely pace. Particularly appealing is the natural, relaxed atmosphere away from the major summit destinations, and with a little luck, you might even spot marmots in the expansive alpine meadows along the way. About halfway through the tour, the sun-drenched Birgitzer Alm invites you to take a cozy break with a magnificent view, before you comfortably return to the starting point at the end via the Birgitzköpflift.

The meeting point is the Birgitzköpfllift (Axamer Lizum Bergbahnen), Lizum 6, 6094 Axams; please note that the lift ticket is not included, though Welcome Card Plus holders are entitled to one round-trip ride per stay. The hike is intended for adults ages 16 and older, takes about 2.5 hours without a break, covers approximately 4 kilometers with a 450-meter elevation gain, and requires hiking or mountaineering boots as well as appropriate clothing; dogs are not permitted. Free cancellation is possible up to 48 hours before the start of the tour, and should the tour be canceled due to insufficient participation, bad weather, or other unforeseeable circumstances, any participation fees already paid will, of course, be refunded in full.
